Frequently asked questions

How fast will I be alerted after a page changes?

Every page is checked every 6 hours, on every plan. A change is confirmed on two consecutive checks before alerting, to eliminate false positives from rotating content. On Pro and Agency, the alert goes out as soon as the change is confirmed — usually the same day. On Starter, confirmed changes arrive in your daily summary.

What is the federal early warning?

On the Agency plan, if you watch a federal agency's Federal Register page in our catalog (TTB, CFPB, FDIC, SEC, HUD…), we alert you when that agency files a document for public inspection — typically the day before it is published in the Federal Register. Public inspection copies can still be corrected before publication; always rely on the published version.

Why didn't I get an alert for a tiny change?

Changes below the minimum size threshold (40 characters by default, adjustable per monitor) are recorded in the evidence log but do not trigger an alert. This keeps alerts meaningful.

Do you monitor PDFs?

We monitor the listing pages that reference PDFs. When a new PDF link appears, you get an alert. Monitoring the text inside PDFs is on our roadmap.

A monitor shows 'failing'. What do I do?

We could not reach the page for 5 consecutive checks — it may have moved or been taken down. We keep trying once a day and resume automatically when it's back. If the page moved, open the Monitors screen, fix the URL, and resume the monitor.

Can I monitor any URL, or only pages from your catalog?

Both. The catalog gives you curated, pre-tuned sources in one click; you can also paste any publicly accessible URL.

Is this legal advice? Can I rely on it for compliance?

No. We report observed changes to public web pages with timestamps and diffs. We never interpret regulations or tell you whether a rule applies to you. Always verify against the official source.

What happens when my trial ends?

Monitoring pauses until you subscribe. Your monitors, history, and evidence log are kept for 90 days, and you can export everything at any time.

How do I change my plan, update my card, or cancel?

Settings → Manage billing opens the Stripe customer portal, where you can do all of this yourself. Canceling keeps your data for 90 days.

How long do you keep snapshots?

Text content is kept for 24 months, full HTML and screenshots for 12 months, and the change log (what changed, when) is kept indefinitely.

Can I get alerts into my own system instead of email?

Yes, on Pro and Agency — add a webhook channel in Settings. Each confirmed change is POSTed as JSON, signed with HMAC-SHA256 in the X-Signature header so you can verify authenticity.

How many people can use one account?

As many as you like, on every plan. Add colleagues in Settings → Team; plans are priced by the number of pages watched, not by seat.
