Terms of Service

Last updated: September 16, 2026

1. Who we are

NoticeHound ("the Service") is a web-page change monitoring service operated by Websynoptiq ("we", "us"), a business registered in Québec, Canada. These Terms govern your access to and use of the Service, including paid subscriptions. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

2. What the Service does — and does not do

The Service monitors publicly accessible web pages that you select, detects changes to their content, keeps timestamped snapshots, and notifies you of confirmed changes.

The Service does not provide legal, regulatory, or compliance advice. It does not interpret laws or regulations, does not determine whether any requirement applies to you, and does not state or imply that you are or are not in compliance with anything. The Service reports observed facts: that a page changed, what text was added or removed, and when. You are solely responsible for interpreting that information and for your own compliance. Always verify information against the official source before acting.

3. Accounts and organizations

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for activity under your account and organization, including monitors created by members you invite. You must not share sign-in links.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

The Service accesses monitored pages respectfully: it honors robots.txt, limits its request frequency, and identifies an operator contact. We may pause monitors or accounts that cause harm to monitored sites or to the Service.

5. Subscriptions, billing, and trials

6. Your data and content

You retain your rights in the data you provide (monitor lists, labels, settings). Snapshots of monitored public pages are collected on your behalf as part of the Service and remain subject to the rights of the original publishers. Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Availability and support

We aim for reliable operation but the Service is provided without an uptime guarantee. Scheduled checks may be delayed or skipped due to maintenance, outages, or monitored sites blocking automated access. A monitored page that cannot be reached is flagged in your dashboard rather than silently ignored.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT EVERY CHANGE TO A MONITORED PAGE WILL BE DETECTED, THAT NOTIFICATIONS WILL BE TIMELY, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE. This service reports observed changes to publicly accessible web pages. It does not provide legal, regulatory, or compliance advice, and does not determine whether any requirement applies to your business. Verify all information against the official source before acting.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE — INCLUDING ANY MISSED, DELAYED, OR INACCURATE CHANGE DETECTION, AND ANY DECISION YOU MAKE OR DO NOT MAKE BASED ON THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS IS LIMITED TO THE FEES YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations; in those jurisdictions, these apply to the fullest extent permitted.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially breach these Terms, with notice where practicable. Sections 2, 6, 8, 9, and 12 survive termination.

11. Changes to the Service or these Terms

We may modify the Service and these Terms. For material changes to the Terms, we will give at least 30 days' notice by email or in-app. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of the judicial district of Frontenac, Québec have exclusive jurisdiction, and you waive any objection to that venue.
